As the Founder and Managing Partner of L&E Capital, LLC in Chicago, Mr. Lane provides expert M&A and strategic planning services on a fractional basis. His firm offers comprehensive advisory support to privately owned businesses and investment firms across the manufacturing, distribution, business services, and construction sectors. Prior to founding L&E Capital, Mr. Lane spent over 13 years at Crowe, LLP and Crowe Capital Markets, LLC. As the National Practice Leader and Founder of the firm's Outsourced Corporate Development (OCS) business unit, he led M&A advisory, dynamic modeling, valuation, and strategic planning initiatives across a broad range of industries. His leadership was instrumental in closing complex transactions, unlocking new growth opportunities, and driving long term value creation for clients.

Mr. Lane’s private equity experience includes his tenure at Akoya Capital, LLC, where he led more than a dozen investment processes and served as an interim CFO. As part of an independent sponsor, Mr. Lane gained invaluable insights by managing both the buy side and sell side of each transaction he led. His collaborative approach allowed him to build strong relationships with business owners, family offices, lending institutions, and private equity firms.

Earlier in his career, Kevin held roles at Navigant Consulting and Charles River Associates, where he built his foundation in economic analysis and served as an expert witness in intellectual property litigation. These roles sharpened his ability to distill complex financial issues into clear, actionable strategies.

Mr. Lane earned his MBA in Finance and Economics from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business and his BBA in Accountancy and Computer Applications from the University of Notre Dame. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois with an Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV).
